In the second quarter, the 5-10 Rusnak scored 11 points and 6-5 Davis Black added eight as MHS stretched its lead to 29-17 at halftime. After going scoreless in the first, Dennis tallied eight points in the second to keep the Warriors in the hunt.
But in the third quarter, Warren couldn’t buy a bucket until Kurt Taylor drained a triple in the closing minute. Meanwhile, Meadowbrook’s Addy Black and McCall scored six points apiece as the Colts’ lead bulged to 47-21.
