Vincent - Warren High went from a nightmare start to a dream-come-true finish.
Down 20 at the end of one, the Warriors re-grouped and rallied to defeat visiting Fort Frye High, 50-48, Monday night in non-conference girls’ basketball action.
“I am so proud of this team,” said WHS head coach Amy Colgrove. “That was amazing to be able to come back from that.
“We’re young, and we just kept fighting. No matter who I put in there, it was a team effort.”
Olivia Alloway paced the Warrior comeback with a game-high 23 points, including five triples.
“Alloway hit some hugh 3s there for us,” Colgrove said.
Molly Grayson added 11 points for the royal blue and white cagers, who improved their record to 7-5 overall.
“I thought Andrea Place did a fantastic job, and so did Savannah Banks and Caspen Ford,” Colgrove said. “Them coming off the bench and the lift that they had, they gave our other players a break. Overall, especially from the way we started, it was great.”
