Vincent - Warren High finished with a very competitive 7-9-2 overall mark on the girls’ pitch last season.

During postseason play, the Warriors upset No. 4 Jackson, 2-0, in the opening round before bowing out to top-seeded Fairfield Union.

This fall, the Warren booters are hoping to record another solid regular-season campaign and then have a deeper run in the playoffs.

“The girls have been working extremely hard this year and have really come together as a team,” said WHS girls’ head soccer coach Andy Pinkerton. “The energy level and attention to details at practice gives us a lot of hope of a great season.”

Warren graduated seven seniors (Olivia Shutts, Kayleigh Hutchinson, Madison Miller, Taylor Vickers, Morgan Chapman, Sophie Knapp, and Caroline Stollar) from the 2018 squad. Miller and Knapp, the team co-captains, will be continuing their soccer careers at Marietta College.
