Vincent - Warren High went on a second-half scoring binge.
The Warriors scored six goals after the break en route to a 7-0 triumph over visiting Williamstown High in boys’ soccer action Thursday night.
“I knew that if we made one more goal, it would be less stressful for the kids,” said Warren head coach Ekrem Eksi, whose Warrior booters (1-1-1) posted their first victory of the season. “When we made that second goal in the second half, we started playing much better. Individually, we created opportunities and made a lot of goals. But we still have a lot of work to do.”
Warren senior playmaker Ethan Yost led the scoring parade with one goal and three assists, all after the break.
“Ethan is a very valuable and tremendous player,” Eksi said. “He’s very quick, very fast. He can finish and he can assist. He’s just an all-around good player. Every coach would like to have someone like him on their side.”
