Vincent - Sean Fournier is equally adept at splitting the uprights and hitting the back of the net.
After converting eight consecutive extra-point kicks on the football gridiron Friday evening, the Marietta High senior standout scored two goals to help the Tigers blank host Warren, 4-0, in rivalry boys’ soccer action Saturday night.
Fournier, who is right-footed, booted both of the goals with his left foot.
Ryan Mannix and Jake Craven added one score apiece for the undefeated Tigers, who improved their record to 4-0. Jantzen Gebzyck and Craven each had an assist.
Goalkeeper Justin LaBarre was credited with a clean sheet.
“This was a quality win for us,” said MHS head coach Todd Morris. “This is a tough place to play. We haven’t won here since 2009. We’ve had zero wins and five draws.
“But these guys are on a mission, especially with such a big senior class (11). This will probably be their last game here at Warren, and they wanted to go out with a win.”
Warren (1-2-1) finished with just three shots and was in a defensive posture for much of the match. Sophomore keeper Hunter Hanes was credited with a dozen saves.
